Customer Rating: Summary: Give peace a chance Comment: It's really good for taking pictures of old people. Also, if anybody annoys you, you can chuck it at people. Uh-huh, chuck it right at them.
Customer Rating: Summary: Canon IXUS 80 IS Digital Camera Comment: I have a digital SLR but wanted a second camera that was compact and simple to use. I also wanted some nice extra features to make it fun. The Canon IXUS 80 IS was perfect.
Things that I like are, great design, solid feel, display information, image stabilisation, time lapse video and up to 15sec of over exposure.
Things that I don't like are, Some features hidden in menus, viewfinder is too small and only 32MB SD supplied.
Customer Rating: Summary: Super little compact Comment: I bought this as an alternative to my Digital SLR as I wanted something more compact that could be fitted into my pocket while giving me great pictures. Thats just what I got, light weight and compact with a gorgeous design to it (which is available in 4 colours) and most importantly the picture quality is great, I love the face detection feature.
I took it away on holiday with me and I got some great distance shots with it, as well as having a great close up (macro) feature. It also performed well during a concert I went too using the Optical Zoom.
Great for those who want an easy to use compact camera to snap away with, with great results.

Canon proudly presents a fresh new addition to its Digital IXUS range: the Ixus 80 IS. This ultra-compact camera is available in four discreet colours that enhance the smooth curves of its casing, and is loaded with leading technologies for fun, stylish photography. The successor to the Digital Ixus 70, the Ixus 80 IS puts all of Canon?s know-how to good use to bring you flawless shots. Its features include a powerful 8-megapixel CCD sensor and a DIGIC III image processor, as well as an optical stabiliser, meaning you can say bye-bye to blur. Its remarkable ISO sensitivity of up to 1600 ensures photos turn out fantastically even in low lighting conditions, while its 2.5-inch TFT screen lets you take complete control of your creations. You?ll be able to explore your creative side further with its various scene modes and photo effects, including Ai-AF face detection. Thanks to this technology, the Digitax Ixus 80 IS is able to recognise up to 9 faces in a scene and smooth out shady areas. Express your creative side with professional quality snaps with the Digital Ixus 80!
