Customer Rating: Summary: Screen Comment: THe screen is terrible, it has like dust inside it, its weird since I have never seen it on another laptop, but this computer has put me off buying from Amazon and Toshiba forever.
Also I had a lovely scratch on the screen, FREE OF CHARGE from whoever boxed it, and one of those broken red pixels.
Customer Rating: Summary: well some reviews stink Comment: OK, first and formost lets gets some clear here, Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B3 is the best laptop for under £500.00 The spec and performance is second to none. (I refer too the comment below that vista slows it down) what a load of rubbish, sure vista is pretty new, we all moaned when xp came out!! Give it time and Vista will be just as good if not better than XP.
I spent weeks looking for a high spec computer, and wanted value for money, as I think laptops are very over priced as it is!! with the Toshiba Satellite Pro A210-1B3 they give you fifty pounds cash back by cheque of you purchase one of these laptops, directly register with seven days of purchase @ toshibacashback.com i manage too buy one after searching every single shop and online web retailers until I paid a total of £447.53 directly from laptopsdirect with next day delivery (inc vat), however I just got my £50.00 back from simply registering within seven days. so really now I just paid for this super laptop under £397.00 smiles alround. 5/5 be a smart cookie and get one!
Customer Rating: Summary: shame it has vista Comment: the laptop might be nice, the specs are good. however, vista takes the hardware and makes it run like a 3 legged dog. buying this laptop has been the catalyst that finally drives me to linux.
Customer Rating: Summary: So far really good Comment: So far I have found this lap top absolutely perfect for what I need. I use it for my digi camera & camcorder, ipod plus the internet etc. Its a great lap top for the day to day uses which I need it for. If your a computer geek then you dont need me to tell you if this is a good laptop, for the average person wanting a decent, reasonably priced laptop which has great speed, memory and is very user friendly then this is the one I would recommend. Long may it continue...
