Customer Rating: Summary: Sleek, Simple and Good Looking Comment: I got this phone as a Christmas present and I have to say, after one year of common usage, this phone is very good. It also looks quite good as all the dudes at my school think that it looks "cool" ha ha. It is easy to use as the display is nicely set up and the buttons feel good. I also have to point out that it is a skype phone so it is very useful if you have Skype. It comes with a whole lot of ring-tones, an alarm, a calculator, a calendar and some other useful features. It also has a very good filming capability: it has 2 megapixels, better than my old polaroid digital camera, ha ha. And it also films with sound. Another very useful thing is this phone has the internet. Lets say you want to search something up on google quickly - well you can do that easily with this phone. My only criticism would be the lining on the back keeps coming of. Unless, it's is supposed to come off - if so, then please leave a comment - thankyou. Other than that, this is a great, neat little phone which is very reliable and fun to use.
Customer Rating: Summary: nice little phone Comment: Got this for my brother-in-law, nice little phone HOWEVER be aware that the rubber around the case has started to peel of (not sure if this is a one off though.)
Looks cool and does what it's meant to do (Eg Skype) call quality is great is easy to use and looks like it should cost more than it does.
Customer Rating: Summary: *** EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY & A GREAT CONCEPT! *** Comment: The first thing I noticed about this phone is how slimline and sexy it looks and feels in the palm of the hand. The picture makes it look big and bulky, which couldnt be further from the truth. The screen is bright and colourful with an extremely good resolution for crisp clear images and colours.
I purchased mines brand new for £34.99 and what a bargain, i use it as a PAYG phone, backup for my main phone and wished I hadnt taken a 2 year contract with my other provider as I would have used this instead!
For £34.99 I got a very good solid build quality phone, yes its plastic but what mobile phone isnt these days unless your paying 100's of pounds or more, they all plastic in some form or another!
Anyway, I found the battery life to be more than reasonable, in fact its very good on my handset, just remember to fully charge it when you receive the phone. What you will notice is that it doesnt have all the bells and whistle that many high end phones have, but it has most of the run-of-the-mill functions and tools. Calc, Alarm, Notepad, Calendar, Stopwatch etc to name but a few. It also has a 2MP camera built in which can also be used as a video recorder, oh and it also has Bluetooth!
And the main selling point of this is the FREE use of the airwaves to use Skype! so if any of your friends has skype on their phone (doesnt have to be the same model of phone just Skype software) or on their PC then you can call them anytime and anywhere on this phone. As it doesnt use WiFi then theres no extra battery drain, it uses the 3G Mobile network data connection (for which there is no charge thats why its FREE!).
The downsides? None that I can grumble about, the only thing that it doesnt state in the description is that you cant use SkypeOut, which makes sense as it would clash with 3G using their network in terms of calls, for phone calls, that is where you have to dial a phone number then you can only use the Three's 3G network to call (either on PAYG or Contract) the FREE Skype is only Skype-to-Skype users but as many more mobile phones are now becoming Skype compatible and that the Skype software is actually free to download and set up on your PC then if your mates have Skype then you wont need to make many calls in the first place!
Basically, if you want to take advantage of SkypeOut then this phone is not for you, your better of with a USB or WiFi Skype phone. However thats the only grumble i can find with this phone. Its ideal for those night outs, for taking snaps and calling mates.
Its slick, its sexy and i cant believe its on sale for £34.99! Some other phones I have evaluated at double or treble this price and arent as good as this phone.
Overall I've given it 5 Stars because it does what it says on the tin and it look and feels good. Well worth the money and I'd love to see the concept being improved upon by other operators as well.
Please note that you also get a 3G(Three) PAYG SIM Card, Mains Charger, a USB Data Cable, a 3 hands-free headphone kit and also a 256Mb MicroSD Card as well! You really cant complain at all.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Value, Simple to Use, Exciting Phone Comment: I am not particularly a mobile phone expert, I bought this becuase I wanted to take advantage of the free calls using Skype. That works great. What has been even better in lots of ways are all the other things the phone will do for a very small charge. Internet access giving you time to look at Youtube and similar on the train, email, and even TV - although I haven't bought that add-on. The screen is very clear, and when you use the video recorder - it keeps going - not like previous phones I've had that cut off after about 20 secs.
Email - using your existing ISP is slightly bugful, in that I haven't worked out how to get it to tell me when one comes in, I have to spot the little icon on the front screen - but apart from that works fine. It may not be a problem if you use the 3Mail that is available on the phone.
I am thrilled to bits with this phone, and only wish I could afford to buy one for both my parents, my husband and my kids. I bought mine on a monthly call package and I am really DELIGHTED - best mobile phone I ever had, and in my opinion; for a lightish user like me excellent value and a fantastic boredom buster on the train.
Customer Rating: Summary: Plastic and not a good phone Comment: Bought this a month ago, phone wants to switch itself off, even after a full charge, have to take the battery out,and place back in again,to make it work, skype calls work ok,3 calls not so good, only buy this if you really want skype on the move, otherwise avoid.
