Customer Rating: Summary: Best console bundle alongside GTA4! Comment: I was very lucky to have Won this console back in March. I entered the Gran Turismo UK Championship, You had to set the fastest time in a 2 Lap race around London's famous track they created in the game Rules were you had to do a 2 lap race with AI Cars on the track at the same time so that made it very hard to get the fastest lap time. In the end i was Region 7 Winner which was in HMV London Oxford Street. The competition was held over 10 Regions in the UK. My friend Aly winning Region 8 Zavvi Store also on Oxford Street Won himself this bundle too. The game is an outstanding representation on what the final Gran Turismo 5 will offer and with updates coming this year to this game such as Crash Damage and also in a future update we will expect the Nurburgring Nordschleife famous racing course. Shame i already own a PS3 so i am selling this one :) Can't wait till GT5!
Customer Rating: Summary: An amazing console and game! Comment: This is perhaps one of the best consoles ever, it is well rounded, fast, easy to use, intuitive, good build quality and just incredible.
Perhaps one of the most useful features is its wireless capability, not only with the WiFi enabling online gaming quickly, but also networking your PS3 as a media console able to access music from your PC and play it in your anywhere. Added to this is the wireless controllers which to me is a god send as I have two dogs who always used to pull the cable out when they walked past with the PS2! Wireless controllers not only stops this, but much more freedom in movement and just easier.
GT5 is an incredible game, perhaps slightly limited on gameplay but this is more than made up for in the fantastic online environment and graphics which are breath-taking.
I would recommend also getting Burnout Paradise with this for the extra £15, as this is an awesome game, less serious in driving style than GT5 but the graphics are just as mind-blowing.
This console is best enjoyed in HD, so if you have a HD TV then sit back and enjoy HD gaming out of the box and Blu-Ray DVD.
This deal is the best on the internet right now, I stalled buying the console until prices became a little more reasonable (less than £300) and then when i saw this deal with console, GT5, HDMI cable and another game for £305 delivered, i just could not resist it. Amazon service was brilliant as per usual the whole package coming within 48 hours.
5* to the console, 5* to the game and 5* to Amazon.
Buy it, now.
Customer Rating: Summary: best out! Comment: bought this consloe delivery was fast, perviously had a xbxo 360 glad i upgraded 5*!!
Customer Rating: Summary: excellent console Comment: im a solid nintendo supporter, but when i saw that the wii wasnt going to have high end graphics, i was shocked, if i remember rightly, the gamecube was the most powerfull of the consoles at the time, now the tables have turned, im a man of graphics and games, and im disapointed by nintendo for not even trying to compete with the other consoles. so i've switched to sony (now the review starts) and i have to say what an amazing console this is...feature wise, it supports:
*blu-ray disc (25/54gb a disc)
*hd/hdmi cable
*full 1080p
*great range of games(if not a bit limited)
*excellent music support.
*great interface on the home menu
*and a whole host of other features...
Now about the xmb (cross media bar) it beats the wiis channel interface and xbox's dashboard, by a mile, its very ergonomic, and unlike the dashboard or the wiis channels (the latter not supporting any sort of theme or personalisasion options) the xmb is almost invisble if not used for 1minuit or so, making your display picture in the background become a screensaver. i love these small features. PSN is in a different league compared to XBL, paying £40 a year for a laggy (admittidley all xbox games have some support online) messy, and quit frankly annoying online service, just isnt acceptable. psn has just had a make over, making it all glossy, and loading times are now allmost zero. psn is also free, obviously it has plenty of micropayments but the free content(demos, trailers etc...) is excellent, now the six axis, probably the ps3 only weakness, its incredibly light, but the dualshock 3 controller, is a hell of alot heavier than the old dualshock, tape a weight to the back or something to find the perfect weight for your controller (joke) also the sixaxis is a comnplete copy of wiis remotes, and there was no need for it because now all the next generation of consoles will have some form of useless motionsencing in it, USELESS, also lair is a total flop, DO NOT BUY.
Some excellent ps3 games are (some maybe multiplatform):
*my fav, uncharted: drakes fortune, best graphics on ps3
*WARHAWK must get it imediatley plz
*i would go on but just look around on this website...
And there is my ps3 review...
CHEERS
Customer Rating: Summary: A great introduction to new buyers! Comment: For a long time I was unsure whether to get an XBox 360 elite or a PS3 due to the high prices, I didn't want to end up feeling I have wasted my money. But when this offer came up, I did research to find anything cheaper and couldn't.
So with the simplicity of just plugging it in and playing straight away instead of having to buy extra hard drives and stuff like the xbox, I chose this and haven't regretted it one bit.
Even though I don't like driving games, I am just blown away by the graphics and the smoothness of the game, I play it to see whatever it offers and actually started to like the game!
So if you are deciding whether to get it or not because of GT5 then my opinion is, from being in that same position, get it and just enjoy the latest technology the world has to offer!
