Customer Rating: Summary: Misold Comment: Bought this as it was advertised as coming with Toshiba Software which I was familiar with. It came with another much more difficult package. Connectivity OK but do things never arrive as advertised. Thought E-Bay was bad but Amazon Sellers Market catching up fast
Customer Rating: Summary: Brilliant! Comment: Purchased this in order to use my mobile phone to control powerpoint presentations. So far, it's worked absolutely flawlessly and I'm now discovering all the added benefits of wireless file sharing that can be set up with the Bluetooth connection. On top of that, the device has a fantastic range, meaning that I can walk around the room/stage when presenting without any fear that the connection will go dead. It's a great product that's really easy to install and I'd recommend it to anyone.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: Purchased one of these for an iBook G4 as it didn't have Bluetooth support. Plugged it into the USB port and had instant Bluetooth! Since then I've been able to synchronise the contacts on my mobile phone and download pictures without any problem. Also been able to connect an Apple wireless keyboard and wireless mighty mouse. It's a really good adapter for the money. Works perfectly.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great little Unit.... Comment: This is a great bluetooth unit......
Worked straight out of the box......
Connected to everything that I have, printers, phone, headset.......
The only downside (which isn't important), there is about 5-6mm of the metal left showing, it doesnt go all the way into the plastic.
Customer Rating: Summary: OK if you don't use the software! Comment: As others have said this works OK if you don't load the included Bluesoleil software. In the advert it says bundled with Toshiba software but this is not the case!
The Bluesoleil software is terrible! I use a special VPN software and the Bluesoleil software causes a BSOD (Windows XP)! I have another PC with a Belkin adaptor which has no BSOD problems.
Some say you don't need to load the software but unfortunately not all devices I need work successfully without the software as the Windows XP software is a little basic. If you try to update the Bluesoleil software it takes you to a download for the new version which only works fully if you pay for it! A real rip off.
Only buy this if you don't intend to use the included software and can accept any limitations of the Windows software.
