Summary: Its Tiny!
Comment: What more do you need? I pretty much only ever buy SanDisk when it comes to SD Cards for my camera or phone but I was in the market for a memory stick. Knowing full well 2GB is never enough I stumbled across the SanDisk Cruzer Micro 8GB whilst acctually looking for a 4GB memory stick. For the sake of a few extra £ I thought why not. I'm VERY impressed. Its fast, does what its supposed too and its smaller than many other USB memory sticks on the market. The only downside I can think of is the cap. Rather than clicking or locking into place it just slides over the usb connector so it "may" be easy to lose if u plan to attach it to a key ring for example. that said i would still recommend this product to anyone.

Summary: The best yet!
Comment: My USB keys get a lot of use and I've gone through three in two years, the last one was a Buffallo 8gb. which broke in two after about 6 weeks so it's replacement needed to be both quick and tough. This little device fits the bill nicely!
It's as fast as the Buffallo was (very) and looks pretty indestructible.
As for the cap, it can easily be attached using a small piece of fishing line passed through a small hole in the end (use a hot needle) and knotted on the inside. Tie the other end to the loop on the end of the key. Problem solved!

Summary: A very good buy!
Comment: To be as practical as possible a flash memory drive needs to be small and this little device (as the name suggests) is tiny which means its also light weight and compact. In the past I have used FMDs that are so bulky they prevented me from using the other USB ports, which I found most irritating but this device doesn't have that problem at all. Past FMDs with bulky casings felt unnecessary and less tough, with this device I feel there's less chance of me breaking it especially with its metal casing and clear polyurethane skin.

On that note of the polyurethane skin, it feels better than the usual cheap hard plastic casings prone to cracking. It lends protection against shock but also the weather and with our British weather thats a big plus, however, I wouldn't suggest submerging it in water (yet that goes without saying about most electronic devices). It also doesn't fly quite as far across the table as my other FMD when I accidently knock it.

The bright orange LED is a plus in my book! In bright sunlight it can be difficult to see the LEDs on some other memory sticks but this device combats that very well. The only time I would possibly find it annoying is if I used it in the dark for a long period of time.

The cap fits snug and securely, thus less chance of losing it. Due to the lanyard connection the cap doesn't fit over the end but if you're scared of losing or forgetting the cap while in use, use your common sense and put it in your pocket! I personally prefer the keyring loop to be on the memory stick itself rather than on the cap.

Copying and storing files on this device is very quick and easy. You will of course notice that it does only show to have 7.47GB compared to the promised 8GB but surely everyone knows by now that with any memory storage you don't get the full memory capacity listed.

Nothing is perfect but this is the best device I've seen for my needs (so far). A great solid little device well worth 5 stars.

Editorial Reviews:

The SanDisk Cruzer Micro's compact size puts up to 8GB of flash memory in your pocket. Connect it to any computer with a USB port, and it makes storing, sharing and transferring your files a breeze.
