Summary: Beautiful and functional
Comment: I get fed up with phones quickly (or they break *sigh*), so I've been through quite a few over the past couple of years. I can say without hesitation that this is the best phone that I've owned.

These days I tend to stick with Sony Ericsson as they look great but also have the most usable and comprehensive menu design, and this is no exception. Whenever you think "wouldn't it be good if you could do this..." you can on a Sony. Contrast that with the woeful Samsungs that look great but whose menu system makes you want to tear your hair out. Or the endless Nokias, all the same, that are functional but somehow always so boring and utilitarian.

Anyway, enough about SonyEricsson in general and onto the phone. The key things about this one are the physical design, which is stunning, and the camera which is also excellent. It's the first camera I've had on a phone where the pictures are actually usable beyond just picture messaging. The flash is only LED which is a let down but everything else is great. The K800i probably had a better camera but it's a brick. This is slim and lightweight and the whole thing feels quality, especially the keypad.

The screen is great and is seems a quick phone - Java apps start up quickly and menus always run smoothly.

Battery life is so-so, only a couple of days with average use, but switch off 3G (who uses it?) and that extends to 4 or 5.

Added bonus for me was that prepaymania supplied an unbranded and unlocked phone with a PAYG SIM, rather than a t-mobile branded and packaged one. So I got a SIM free phone for the price of a PAYG. Outstanding!
