This is an 11-pin Enhanced Mini USB (EMU) connector, which is double sided.
It will not fit in older HTC models like the Prophet or any new smartphones like the MWG Zinc II, that use a generic 5-pin usb connection for audio, data transfer and charging.
The adapter has one straight edge making it too wide at the top to fit.

Exactly what I was after, about to get a couple more as spares, I got this to connect my G1 phone to my amp, as the one supplied died about a week in, and the t-mobile shop wouldn't do anything as useful as stock things you may need. Anywho. The usb on my phone is slightly different to normal usb connections (didn't know there was a difference) and this lead did the job perfectly. And the price is a bonus

No heavy or inappropriate usage, but it still broke where the wire meets the 3.5mm socket, within a few weeks. Why can't anyone build these things to last properly?
