Customer Rating: Summary: A kid-sized place in an adult-sized world. Comment: I got this for my 18-month-old (as of this writing) girl and she took to it like a fish to water. Until I set this up for her I never stopped to think about how difficult it must be for a small child to get around in an adult world. Everything in the house is adult-sized and could be intimidating to children. My little girl often tipped over the dining room chairs in order to climb into the small space that's between the legs, so I thought something like this would be perfect for her. I was right - more right than I thought I'd be. She practically leapt into the climber and now spends most of her play time in and around it. She's just tall enough to climb up on the ledge and slide down but is not yet ready for climbing up the sides, though she knows the steps and grips are there.
The unit is made of durable blown plastic with a nice neutral color and a grippy stone-like texture, making it easier for small hands to grip. The door, slide, and raised platform are smooth plastic; the door and slide are red, the platform green. I had mixed emotions about the platform; on the one hand a smooth surface makes it easier for kids to slide down the slide, but on the other hand it makes it potentially more slippery when wet. I think the designers understood this which is why the platform has slots in it for drainage and handholds for gripping and climbing.
Assembly is easy for one person but can be made easier with a second person. The unit is made up of seven pieces which slide together with a minimum of effort and no tools required. The manufacturer says this can be used indoors and outdoors. When used indoors on a wood floor my little girl can easily push it around; some carpet tape on the bottom of the four frame pieces solved that problem. Like virtually all toys of this nature, when used outdoors you can expect a certain amount of water to find its way inside. There are drain plugs in various places but I've found it to be a lot easier to simply drill a does get inside it will automatically drain out.
The only other modification I made to this toy was placing a small Velcro dot on the bottom corner of the door and door frame. Although the door stays in place without it, my little girl would often bump into it from the inside which would make it swing open a little, so she'd stop what she was doing to re-close the door. Adding the Velcro provides just enough tension on the door so that slight bumps don't affect the door.
I really have nothing bad to say about this! The Kangaroo Climber has immediately become my little girl's most favorite toy and we all have a great time playing with it. (Hide and seek is especially fun when she hides under the platform.) My only real complaint is the cost but it's not out of line with other toys of this nature so I can't fault the manufacturer too much over it.
Customer Rating: Summary: good climbing toy Comment: Bought this for my grandaughter age 18 months. Need to supervise so she won't fall backwards. She likes it and it is very durable. I think she will definely use it more as she grows.
Again great service from Amazon.com!
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun Comment: My kids enjoy this climber. It is great for my son of 11 months as well as my daughter of 2 years.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great, versatile toy Comment: My son is 13 months. It's hard for him to climb up to the slide, as the only way to get there is sideways. However, I think this is a toy that has many fun options for different ages. Right now he loves to open the door and go in his "house." He thinks it's hilarious when the cat runs in through the holes. There's a great little room under the platform behind the slide - I put some books and a pillow in there, and I think he'll enjoy quiet time there if he's ever able to sit still long enough...He loves the slide, but I have to put him on, over and over. The two sides both offer climbing practice, and I think he will love both once he discovers them. The toy is a nice size - we have ours indoors for now and will move it outside next summer - although my 13-month-old is almost too big for the doorway and the holes that you can crawl through. Great toy overall though; we're very happy.
Customer Rating: Summary: fun inside Comment: we purchased this item for our son's first birthday. we had full intentions to keep this toy inside instead of out. It is much easier to keep an eye on him inside. the playful kangaroo just the right size to keep tucked in a corner of our living room for storage and pulled out for play. we are very happy and so is our son.

This sturdy, all-in-one toddler activity gym offers climbing, crawling, hiding, and sliding fun. There's tons to do on the Kangaroo Climber - crawl up the stairs and then slide down the wide slide. Play hide 'n seek among the large, square openings in the base of the climber. The colors blend with traditional landscapes. Minimal adult assembly required. Measures 42"H x 54"W x 36"D.
