Summary: Decent, does the trick
Comment: You get what you pay for. It is a decent wireless notebook adapter. Not great, but once again, you get what you pay for.

Summary: Some installation difficulties
Comment: This product is functioning with no problems. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2 on my laptop.

I followed the suggestion i saw on the Web of using the Linksys install disk procedures, NOT the Windows installation process. This failed - with my consistently getting the Cannot Connect to Internet message even though the access point was recognized. After much reviewing of my Linksys WRTP54G wireless router configuration settings I decided that these were fine. I had previously connected a Logitech music server to my wireless network so i saw no reason to believe that the wireless router configuration was a problem

After much frustration i decided to use the Windows installation procedures. The drivers were taken from my Linksys install disk and the installation went flawlessly.

I have had no further problems.

Summary: Couldn't make it work on WPA Wireless Network
Comment: I have an older (2003 vintage) Vaio laptop with an XP operating system that I wanted to network with my home Linksys WPA "G" wireless network. Despite extensive consultation with Linksys techs, I could not get it to link into the network. So, I sent it back. By the way, I have a newer Gateway Vista laptop that is operating on the network just fine. I'm not sure whether the problem was with the network adapter or the older laptop, so I couldn't rate the product highly. The return was not worth it because of the restocking fee and shipping and handling. I netted back only a few bucks on my purchase as a result. It was a pretty frustrating and annoying experience.

Summary: Excellent product. Great seller
Comment: The people who sold this were extremely fast in dispatching it to me. And since Linksys is a trusted name in Networking products so I was never disappointed upon recieving this product. It just worked wonders for me.

Summary: 802.11G Flat
Comment: I was looking forward to faster wireless in my home than my older 802.11B card gave me. This card was a severe disappointment. It has far less sensitivity in picking up the signal than my 802.11B card has and often times will not connect at all even though the notebok it is in stays in one location. I have reverted to my old B card for faster and more consistent response.

Editorial Reviews:

LINKSYS WPC54G - Wireless-G is the emerging 54 Mbps wireless networking standard that's almost five times faster than the widely deployed Wireless-B ( 802.11b ) products found in homes, businesses and public wireless hotspots around the country. The best part is, since they share the same 2.4GHz radio band, Wireless-G devices talk to existing 11 Mbps Wireless-B equipment.
