Summary: Gertie fun
Comment: This Gertie Ball was purchased for small children. They like it because they can carry it easily and their parents anticipate the science value as they get a little older. Good service from vendor.

Summary: Great Toy for kids
Comment: I am a pediatric physical therapist and I use this with kids to help with all kind of learning for ball skills/play. Because you can adjust the amount of air that is in there, you can make it just a bit more "squishy" so it's easier to catch. THe fun way it changes color with temperature and touch really is fasinating.

Summary: Great ball for a toddler
Comment: This ball is a great ball for small hands. The way that the ball compresses allows for it to be gripped (one-handed) by a toddler. We got this ball for our daughter's 1st birthday and she loves it. She very often reaches around her regular beach ball to grab the gertie ball. The one downside to the ball is that it loses air quickly and has to be blown up every day to keep it firm.

Summary: hard to blow up, does not hold air.
Comment: the idea is great - a ball that changes color. that feature works ok, so i have no qualms with the material. the ball itself is poorly executed - there is no valve to keep the air in, just a plastic plug, that my child loves to pick on and open the ball. It is supposed to be inflated with straw, but there is no good way to insert the plug with the straw still in place... so it deflates very fast.

maybe a magic playmat?

Summary: gertie ball
Comment: I purchased this for my 18 month old grandson as he loves balls. I was not impressed. It does not hold air well and barely shows a hand print when he plays with it. He did not seem to like it either as it sat in the corner most of the time.
