Summary: 6 months and counting...
Comment: we bought this for our daughter on a whim when she was 18 mo's old because we have a very small backyard. we bought it in march of this year -- its now august and i can count on one hand how many days she hasnt gone outside to play with it. there's not much to it either. it's basically a glorified bucket with water in it ... but she LOVES it, her friends love it and we do, too.

it's easy to care for, and a GREAT size for very small backyards.

only recommendation to maker is a childproof plug that you could pull to help empty out the water.

Summary: Waterwheel Play Table
Comment: I got one of these at a yard sale for my grandchild and she loved it as well as the little children who came over to play with her. It was fabulous, but after a winter outside, the plastic did crack, and I had to throw it out. But then again, I don't know how many winters it spent outside before me.

I bought this one on Amazon for my sister's little toddlers, and they too love it. It is nice because you don't have to put a ton of water in it, they can splash about in it, keeping cool, and floating their boats, and watching how the water wheel works.

If my grandchildren come back east again, I would consider buying another one for them! (but find somewhere to store it in winter!)

Summary: A simple, wonderful little activity table ...
Comment: My toddler son loves his WaterWheel! I put this together in (literally) 5 minutes, and whenever we go outside he always asks to play with it. A great, inexpensive toy that provides a LOT of entertainment.

Summary: Wonderful & Fun
Comment: We got this for our son when he was 20-months. He loves it. He plays with it every day. Be aware that he has figured out how to climb inside. Also be aware that it would be impossible for a young child to play with this and not get quite wet. I also change the water every day because it's impossible to keep him from drinking out of it!

Summary: Better than I expected
Comment: Since I just bought it (7/18/2008), you can trust me that some of the previous flaws have been corrected. For example, the leaking problem was gone since I can see two sealed holes at the bottom. Now we have to pour the water into a basin first but this is better than having leaks.

It's VERY sturdy! I don't understand why someone said not. My 20 lb baby sits inside all the time and it seems to have no problem holding another 20 lb. The legs are wide and strong.

It's huge!

And last, we agree that it would have been better if the tower had been mounted.

Editorial Reviews:

The falling water action from this Waterwheel Play Table encourages creative exploration with cause and effect learning. This imaginative water play center encourages hours of outdoor fun. Pour water into the wide funnel, and activate the water wheel which then spills into the inner and outer harbors. Two molded-in sections function as canals, boats, lakes, harbors and more. An elevated design keeps water at toddler level and also keeps ground dirt clear of water and mud from forming on children's feet. It accommodates up to three children to encourage group play. Two built-in drain plugs allow for easy water removal. The four piece accessory set includes: one cup, two sailboats, and one water wheel tower. Features decorative molded-in fish designs on legs. It can holds up to four gallons of water.
