Customer Rating: Summary: MUST have family game Comment: My cousin introduced me and my boyfriend to this game. Since then, I have purchased it for myself and two other people. I absolutely LOVE it. It is a little difficult to pick up and figure out how to play on your own, but once you "get it" it is by FAR one of the most fun and enjoyable games to play. It is nice because it is a game of luck and some skill. Many games are easy to master and then blow all of your greenhorn competition away. This game has enough "luck of the draw" and such, that a first time player can beat a seasoned player. It is my favorite board game.
Customer Rating: Summary: Ingenious is tops in board games in our house! Comment: We first played this German boardgame with friends on a home-made board. Had so much fun (all seniors!) that we had to have one of our own. We were not disappointed! It is challenging, but simple to learn. Game pieces are easily moved out of position unless all players are very careful, but has not detracted from the enjoyment of the game. I actually put a line of craft glue around the outer perimeter to help hold things in place! For anyone who enjoys Sequence or TriOminos, this is even better!
Customer Rating: Summary: Shared enthusiasm Comment: The principles of the game are easy to grasp, the number of potential players is flexible, the ability to set a time limit is useful and overall the game is not too taxing whilst being great fun.
Customer Rating: Summary: Family Fun Comment: I decided to purchase this board game for my parents who are senior citizens (in their early to mid 70s). I was looking for a new activity that would be fun and could help keep their minds sharp. "Ingenious" definitely fits the bill: it's proving to be both fun and challenging. At first, translating the instructions into actual play was a little tricky. But by the second reading, things started coming together and games were quickly under way. This game challenges your reasoning skills, spatial orientation, and ability to strategize and think ahead. And true to some of the reviews I had read prior to my purchase, it does have a certain addictive quality to it; simply stated, it's fun to play!
Customer Rating: Summary: Ingenious Comment: This is a very fun game. Especially for people who like domino type games. It has stratigy involved along with a little luck of the tiles you get. You can advance your own peaces or chose to block others from moving theirs. The hardest part is making sure you count all your points correctly. It is very easy to miss points.

ngenious is the new abstract placement game from internationally-renowned game designer Reiner Knizia. Players place colored tiles on the hexagonal board, scoring points, blocking opponents tile placement, and trying to protect themselves from being blocked by their opponents.
Marvelously elegant and compulsively replayable, Ingenious is an excellent introduction to German-style abstract board games. Its ingeniously simple, and simply ingenious!
