Summary: A hit with the kids!
Comment: We started playing boardgames with our kids (ages 6 and 8) by playing Monopoly. I could tell that they liked it, but at times they lost interest with that game. I decided to try playing Pay Day with them. They enjoyed this game a lot more. There were some decisions they could make besides to buy or not to buy. It also has an easier ending to understand versus telling them the game is over because everyone went "bankrupt." Overall, I think this is a much better game to start teaching children finances rather than Monopoly.

Summary: Pay Day Pays Off
Comment: I purchased the game Pay Day for my children this Christmas. I remember playing the game in my youth. As a parent, I like the ability to set how long the game will be played, based on number of chosen months. I can play a game with my children and have quality time, yet still be able to complete adult responsibilities. My children have gotten a taste of what it can be like receiving "mail" and all of the bills they may entail! It has been alot of fun for us.

Summary: Pretty good game for learning about money
Comment: Overall this is as the title says, a pretty good game for young kids to learn about money. It is fun for the kids and they get the basics about lending, interest, bills, etc. I would recommend this game for families with grade school kids, but you need to play it with them. It is a good game for the whole family to play.

Summary: Fun game
Comment: This is a fun game that I enjoyed as a child and now I'm having a great time playing it with my children. It's a little "over the top" as far as the "reality" of it. But, games are for enjoyment and my children are learning that bills keep coming and you have to pay them, even if you don't have enough income. Hence the whole loan experience, which they are also learning about.

Summary: payday game
Comment: Everything with seller went great. My only complaint is I used to play this game for hours as a child, and it just isn't the same anymore. I think it has changed with the newer addition. Not as much fun as I remembered.

Editorial Reviews:

The classic game of Payday makes family finance fun as it reminds everyone just where the money goes. Players take turns along the game board, which is designed as a 31-day calendar. You could make a big profit or lose your shirt on a bad investment and have to take out a loan to pay the bills as they pile up. Don't worry, you might win the lottery or hit the jackpot and pick up money. At the end of every month, you get paid. Play as many months as you like, pay off all your bills and figure out how much money you've got left. Whoever has the most money is the winner. Includes game board, four plastic tokens, one die, 64 deal and mall cards, savings and loan pad, paper money. For 2-4 players.
