I have three of them for my sons and I would recommend them for anyone with multiple players in the household. Customer Rating: Summary: If you have an Xbox 360 Elite, you're going to need 2 or more of these Comment: This is a given, if you own an Xbox 360, buy these battery packs. I know we can complain how they should come with the system, and having to purchase them is a ripoff. Seeing how Sony's controller comes already with a rechargeable battery within it. However, unlike the shameless ripoff that is the $180 Xbox 360 120GB hard drive, the $12 price for this handy item isn't so bad. For me, I usually replace them once a week, and I'm a moderate gamer. It has no effect on my gaming though, cause it only takes an hour or 2 to charge on the charger, also sold separately. They are easy to swap in an out, just a click and swap. As far as longevity, we have had the white ones since the first Xbox 360 came out. Meaning, we have never had to throw any of these out in two plus years. Just imagine the cost of batteries, and the impact on environment that would have if you chose not to get this. Sorry to get preachy, we live in Portland after all.
