Editorial Reviews: Canasta is a card game involving points to "meld" onto the board. Each numerical card has a point value of 5, face cards and the 10 are valued at 10, A and 2's are 20, jokers are 50. Black 3s are "void" cards, Red 3's are extra cards that are 100 points a piece, but don't count toward your "meld". You need 7 of one card to claim a "Canasta".
