Customer Rating: Summary: Super Purchase Comment: These phones are the best portable phones I've ever owned. I highly recommend this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Love this phone Comment: I thoroughly researched similar phones before choosing this one. I have had this phone for several months and am more than satisfied with it. There have been no problems with the base or the extension, and it was a breeze to hook up. I have used it outside (a short distance)and notice no difference in quality of calls. The extension is on my desk close to the computer, yet there is no interference between the two. I particularly like the phonebook and speakerphone features. The only caveat is the volume isn't alway as loud as I would like, even after increasing it to the max. This isn't a major problem for me but might be to those with hearing problems.
Customer Rating: Summary: Range not as good as expected Comment: We like most things about this phone with the exception of the range. Although most reviews seemed to suggest that this phone has good range, we found otherwise. We have a pretty small one story home, and we placed the base station on side. If we take the handset to the other end of the house we don't get any reception. Maybe we configured something wrong, but we haven't found a solution.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good reliable phone -- need more intuitive menu features Comment: I've had this phone for 3 months and find it to be a great and reliable phone. Calls are clear and I like the fact that you can have additional handsets that are caller-ID equipped. I have voicemail so I never used the anwering machine. The belt clip is handy and the headset (purchased separately) come in handy when I want to continue with housework and talk on the phone with friends at the same time. The downside is that I don't find navigating through the menu options very intuitive. On my old cordless phone, to view my caller ID, I just hit one button and keep scrolling to view each number. On this system, I have to find the "caller ID" option in the menu, then hit "ok" (if you forget to hit "ok" you will move to other menu options) and then scroll to see the numbers. On my old phone, when I view a caller-ID number,I can call that person back simply by hitting "talk" button and it will start dialing. I could do this even with long distance numbers with different area codes. My old system automatically dialed the 1 for me for different area codes and if I wanted to save that number to my phonebook, the 1 would automatically be there. Not with this system. On this system, if the # on my caller-ID is long distance with different area code, I cannot hit "talk" to call back b/c the 1 is not dialed for me for the different area code. I have to go the menu, find "phonebook", hit "ok" to select that feature, and then look for the number (make sure when you program that number into your phone, you include the 1 for different area codes). In sum, this is a great phone but needs a more intuitive menu system. If you don't mind scrolling through menu option and hitting "ok" each time, it's not a problem.
Customer Rating: Summary: Panasonic KX-TG1032S Dect 6 Comment: This product has been great so far. The only problem happened twice when I attempted to call home and got only the answering machine with no ring. We had to unplug the Panasonic KX and plug it back in. No more problems after this. I hope this isn't a normal occurrence.

DECT is a cordless phone protocol that has been very popular in Europe for nearly a decade. The FCC recently adopted this technology for use in the USA. It makes sense. Range is nearly doubled, sound is radically improved, and battery power is exponentially more efficient. 2 Digit Message Counter on Base Light Up Indicator w/ Message / Ringer Alert Expandable Up To 6 Handsets Handset Speakerphone 3-Way Conferencing Intercom or Call Transfer Between Handsets 3-Line Backlit LCD on Handset 50 Station Caller ID Memory 50 Station Phone Directory / Dialer Handset Locator Adjustable Ringer / Volume Control 15 Selectable Ring Tones Flash / Redial / Mute Clock & Alarm Bi-Lingual Menu Support (English / Spanish) Belt Clip Headset Jack Wall Mountable Rechargeable NiMH Battery Included
