However some may want short cable. I tested the hub with a few different PC's and on a PS3 and it works great. The light indicators are great to see if your other usb devices are connected properly. This device fit my needs perfectly and looks great. The only thing that is a downer is it doesn't come with the adapter to have the hub powered but if need be you can buy it for a bit more. Other than that it's small and perfect and highly recommend. This thing doesn't even provide enough power to run my mouse, much less 2, 3, or 4 items at once. If the accessories you plan on using with it have their own power source (such as a printer), then it's great, but if you want to run a mouse, usb hard drive, flash drive, phone adapter, etc. Get something else that has its own power supply. But since it doesn't come with a power adapter (even though one was designed for it and is IMPOSSIBLE to find one to buy) power hungry devices still need to be plugged directly into my laptop.
