Summary: A FEW MORE MEGA PIXELS
Comment: MY GRANDDAUGHTER, WHO IS SEVEN, ABSOLUTELY LOVES THIS CAMERA. MY DAUGHTER SAYS THE CLARITY IS OK BUT IT COULD BE A LITTLE BETTER.

Summary: Nice but far from perfect
Comment: I got this for Christmas for my seven year old goddaughter. She loved it. Very easy to use. She figured about how to use it within minutes. One flaw, major flaw is the battery time. Batteries do go within 2 hours. Her parents are going to hate me. They are going to have to keep on replacing batteries for this product.

Summary: My 6 year old loves this!
Comment: My daughter loves this camcorder that she got for Christmas! It works well enough for a child and she has already mastered everything on it! It also takes pictures! The only complaint I have is that the batteries do tend to go south on it fairly quickly! Other than that she is very happy and so am I!

Summary: Tiny screws!
Comment: This item was defective when it arrived so I cannot comment on the overall quality. However, I did change the batteries several times while trying to troubleshoot the defect and the TINY TINY screws holding the compartment closed were really annoying! The compartment holds both the batteries and the additional memory card, so these screws have to be taken out and put back in repeatedly. I am all for kid safety, but come on! If the child is old enough to work the camera in the first place, can't they be trusted not to eat batteries or stick a fork in there? I would avoid this product for that reason alone.

Summary: Fun for kids, frustrating for parents
Comment: My 8-year-old loves the idea of having her own camera that operates like ours. The drawbacks from a grown-up perspective: 1) The batteries run out in an hour or two (4 AA), and in order to replace them you have to unscrew the compartment each time. I have a feeling the screw is going to be stripped very quickly, and we've already spent a small fortune in batteries. 2) The camera comes with almost no memory at all, so you MUST buy a memory card--wish I had known this before buying. 3) The video quality is very poor in all but the best lighting. Overall, my daughter is thrilled, but I think in retrospect I would have spent a bit more up front on a different camera to save a lot of time and money in the long run.
