Summary: Canon Pixma MX300 all in one printer
Comment: I replaced an Epson printer that I had for over 4 years and was very happy with until an envelope jammed in it and it wasn't worth repairing. Did a lot of online research because this time I wanted more features, including fax, scanner & copying. Got this at Amazon for a very good price and in the short time I have had it, I am very happy with its performance. I have used the fax and scanner features quite a few times and find it user friendly. I have had occasion to call Customer Service and found them to be very friendly and helpful...so I highly recommend this product.

Summary: not working
Comment: Brand new out of the box and it malfunctions. Called Canon for tech support they said there was nothing they can do and that the warranty only provides me with a refurbished replacement. So for the same amount I paid for a brand new one, I get a used one. Don't want to hassle with anything else so that is what I'm gonna do but I am not completely satisfied.

Summary: canon printer
Comment: I am very happy with this printer. Both the scanner and printer work well.

Summary: Very good value
Comment: The unit is large, but that was understood before I purchased it. Paper trays do not handle much. The unit does not weigh much at all. However, the quality and speed for a light duty machine are very good. Print detail using my MAC is excellent. For a student, your parents, or as a backup for the home office, this unit is perfect. As with many printers like this, color ink tanks are small, therefore, set the printer default to b/w, and save the color for when you really need it, especially when printing pages off the web.

Summary: Ink Guzzler
Comment: I was excited about this all-in-one based on reviews, but I quickly discovered that its scanner--though entirely decent--had a smaller scanning bed than my 5-year-old stand alone scanner (so much for getting rid of that). The far bigger problem is that it goes through ink carts really fast and will refuse to print if it feels unhappy with its ink levels. I don't know what a better inexpensive Mac-friendly printer is, but I'm pretty sure there's got to be one and I wish I'd found it before I'd voted with my dollar.

Editorial Reviews:

For work and play, here's the perfect 5-in-1. You'll produce life-like photos with resolution up to 4800 x 1200 color dpi - and quickly, too. You can also print photos directly from a camera DV camcorder or camera phone, without a computer. Your documents will feature bold, laser-quality text, and copies will be remarkably true to your originals. This all-in-one produces 600-dpi scans with vibrant 48-bit color depth. Plus, it achieves Super G3 fax speed in color and B&W, and its memory can store 20 speed dial codes and receive 50 incoming pages.
