Summary: Uniden 5.8 GHZ Caller ID cordless phone
Comment: Very good phone-- my family has been using it for about two months and we're happy with it. It is connected as a digital phone to our cable modem, and is in our family room next to two computers. We have not experienced any interference with our wireless router (which is about 4 feet away from the phone base). The previous 900mhz phone sometimes had interference issues. Reception is clear, and we have not had any problems using this phone anywhere in the house (upstairs or downstairs). We only experienced one problem-- about two weeks after installation the phone was cutting voices in and out, but switching to another channel cleared this up. Overall a good choice for the money.

Comment: bought this phone because it seemed like a good value but quickly found it difficult to even have a conversation. there's something weird with the microphone that makes your own voice VERY loud in your ear and it picks up background noise to loudly that it drowns out the voice on the other end. Made it practially impossible to have a convo in anything less than total silence. It's like you're in an echo chamber. And it doesn't even have a mute button. Promptly returned it and am on the lookout for something with better clarity. Use at your own risk.

Summary: Great Little Phone!
Comment: I am quite pleased with this phone. It is loud and reception is clear even taking it outside. Functions are faily easy to use, however it only allows for storage of 10 phone numbers. Also, once again Amazon's shipping was phenomenally quick.

Summary: Sounds like the other party is at the bottom of a well
Comment: After chatting with numerous callers and running into the same problem, I'd say the problem is with this phone. The volume of the caller even when set to max setting fades down to where you can hardly hear them then goes back up to normal. I thought it might be the other party roaming to a weak spot, but when even the answering machine message started doing this I dismissed that theory. Keeping this phone within a few feet of the base did no good either.
