Summary: Diamond Scrabble
Comment: This edition is great for portability and convienience. The suitcase is sturdy, open it up and you are playing immediately. If you like the original Scrabble board colors you will find them a bit different. The curved tile racks are a great idea but are very cheap and lightweight, I am switching them out for wood. The tiles seem to be of a cheaper wood, some are poorly stamped, black paint is used to try to cover cheap wood.
I would have spent a few dollars more for a better product, but all in all its a great edition, I will keep it.

Summary: Scrabble--anniversary edition
Comment: While not touted as a travel game, I am very impressed with the case. There are drawers for holding the letters and it closes very nicely. Just the addition of a rubber band or string would keep it nicely together for travel. There are squares to hold the blocks in place and wheels to rotate the board. An excellent value for a fun and classic game!

Summary: Diamond Anniversary Edition Scrabble
Comment: I have several Scrabble games, but this one is now my favorite. The case, the board, the tiles - I like everything about it. After receiving mine, I immediately bought one to give as a gift, and have decided to buy another one to give as a Christmas gift.

Summary: Forget it. Go back to tried and true. COLORS awful
Comment: I bought this because I wanted the most easily turning board with tile holders. The COLORS are awful. Why change them? The 3xword is ORANGE!
People make mistakes in scoring because of color changes. And the tiles are more easily moved or shifted compared with the original one. DON'T get this. I'm planning to return mine.

Summary: great!
Comment: this is a good product. integrated storage (2 trays) is well designed, bag in tray for tile transport helps prevent tile loss, tray itself is large enough to present tiles for the game, other tray holds the racks with room to spare, seems durably constructed (time will tell). board indents help keep tiles in place.

the only improvement i can think of at this time is: the transport (folded) size is about 10" x 15", i think it could be reduced to about 8.5" x 15", making it more compact. anyone willing to pay the price for this particular version knows the game and its value and doesn't need the logos on the sides of the open board to be as large as they are.

Expert Tips and Fascinating History
If you've never played Scrabble before, the Gameplay Guide explains the rules in a clear, easy-to-read way. It also has lots of tips to sharpen your game (a list of "q-without-u" words, for example). The sturdy plastic board needs no assembly and the storage trays cleverly built into the bottom of the board are easy to find, especially with help from the Gameplay Guide. The game also comes with a Gameplay Guide that offers many helpful hints, as well as interesting historical tidbits (For example, did you know the game used to be called "Criss Cross Words?")

A Sleek New Look for Scrabble
The black-and-silver tiles, the smoky red racks, and the velvety tile pouch give this Scrabble set a touch of class. The curvature of the racks help you to see your letters more easily than you could on the old, straight racks. During gameplay, the raised grid will help keep your tiles firmly in place, even when the board spins towards another player. The pouch helps keep all the letters and racks together during play. Put them in the storage trays when you're done, fold the board back up -- and voila -- you have a carrying case that makes this deluxe Scrabble game easy to take with you.

Fun and Functional
We really liked the look of this colorful board, with its cheerful blue, green, red, and orange "premium" squares. We also appreciated the way the set folds up into a carrying case, complete with the storage trays and handle. It's not advertised as a travel set, but you can use it that way. You just have to be careful to hold the set closed when transporting it, since it doesn't snap shut. Also, the storage trays can get a little full when you try to put all the letters and racks in one tray, so make sure you tuck everything neatly into the tray so it will close.

Millions of people around the world love the game of Scrabble, and we're sure they'll be just as happy as we are to see this new, improved edition with features that make it both more fun and more functional!

What's in the Box
