Customer Rating: Summary: Easy setup; works well with home wireless Comment: This product was incredibly easy to setup (didn't even read manual) and it met my primary need of not having feedback from my home wireless. I have an apple home wireless system, which interfered heavily with my previous phone system. There is no interference with this system. Someone else wrote that the volume of the ringer wasn't loud enough. I think it's plenty loud, so much so that I turned it down. The handset are small and easily fit in your hand. Worked perfect with caller id. The only thing I'd like is if the extra phone chargers mounted on your standard phone wall jack. A really nice feature is being able to check voice mail from any of the handsets from anywhere in the house. My wife loves that feature. I've only tried the speaker phone once, but it appeared to be fine, according to the feedback I got from the caller. For the money, with the basestation/phone and 2 additional phones, I think this is a great buy.
Customer Rating: Summary: DON'T Buy This Phone!! Comment: I bought this phone specifically for two reasons. So I would have no interference with the wireless communications and the speakerphone capability. Both are TERRIBLE. I get complaints on EVERY call that the phone CUTS OUT and is DISTORTED. Whatever the cause, it shouldn't happen. Also, the speakerphone reverberates and creates noise so the call is nearly inaudible. Also the digital recording capabilities are terrible (as Uniden phones in the past also have proven to be). Try another maker - but Uniden is WAY OVERRATED. DON'T buy this phone!
Customer Rating: Summary: Lightweight Comment: The handsets are too dinky, like a FisherPrice toy, and they hurt the ear after awhile.
Customer Rating: Summary: Still getting static from base phone. Not as bad as before DECT. Comment: I purchased the DECT because of a feedback problem from my wireless router(Apple) and the DSL. It's somewhat better then before but didn't eliminate it as I thought it would. I'm not sure if the other brands are any better? Other features seem to work well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Outstanding Comment: I've been using this phone system a month now. Outstanding in almost every way.
One complaint I have is that when using the intercom feature to reach another family member located elsewhere in the house, not only does the phone on their end ring, but so does the extension/handset you're calling FROM. This is highly annoying.
One other issue is that when the line is in use by someone else in the home, you only see an LCD readout saying "LINE IN USE" on the base and extensions. Since the screen is not backlit until the handset is put in use, this readout is hard to see. It would be nicer if there was an actual light that indicated that the line was in use. However, if the line is in use, all extensions are prohibited from making outgoing calls, so this at leasts stops someone from interfering with the existing call (nice feature). But folks, these are really my only complaints so far, and I'm very happy with the purchase.
Clarity on the calls is outstanding. I have a 4000 sq ft home, and I never get any static or other issues on any of the handset extensions (I bought an additional DCX200 handset).
Being able to enter a phone book entry and transfer it to all the other handsets is an outstanding feature. We also like being able to see, hear and delete voicemail from all extensions.
I wanted a base unit with keypad (with speakerphone) and this unit was perfect. The base speakerphone is clear and works well. Callers say they can hear me fine through it.
The speakerphones on the handsets also work well.
I would definitely buy this product again, and have recommended it to my friends.
