Customer Rating: Summary: Great camera Comment: I bought this camera for my husband, he is grateful for it and has not put it down ever since I gave it to him, its the perfect size and weight, it takes incredible pictures with the best resolution, I recommend this more than the 1100 or the other cameras for 3 reasons
Better resolution
View finder *which enables you to take pictures when it is very bright
Beter lcd screen *that consumes less battery time
Customer Rating: Summary: We Love our Powershot! Comment: This camera is the perfect size to take anywhere and it takes GREAT pictures! Very user friendly! We've already got some fantastic photo's!
Customer Rating: Summary: Wish I had gotten it sooner. Comment: I finally took the plunge and replaced my old digital camera with a modern image-stabilized one. What a difference! Shots that would have been just plain impossible are now easy. For example, I went to the Air and Space museum at Dulles Airport and got great shots of the planes and the space shuttle. At first the shots would not come out with the flash. No problem, I just turned off the flash and, thanks to the image stabilization, was able to take a hand-held shot without blurriness. The only way I could get shot like that with my old camera was to use a tripod. I specifically picked this model over the 790 due to the viewfinder, sometimes it's just too hard to see an LCD screen in bright sunlight. I have not needed the viewfinder yet but am looking forward to using it. I think it's worth giving up the half-inch of screen size to have a real viewfinder.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent camera Comment: Lovely picture quality, very easy to use (much easier than my prior Canon), and so quick to start. Easy to carry as well - can't wait to really put it through its paces.
Customer Rating: Summary: great small camera Comment: Love this camera, it is so small and light that it is really easy to take it with you. Easy to use too. Just don't buy it when you want to have a lot of zoom because it can only do 3x and that's not very much. Screen is bright enough to see even when the sun shines and battery lasts quite long.
