Customer Rating: Summary: Fun When You Finally Figure it Out Comment: Energ-G Gym Rockets is a fun game - when you figure out what to do. The instructions that come with the game are horrible. The little bit they do tell you isn't even worth reading. So basically, you have to figure everything out on your own. That's why I gave this game only 3 stars.
When you do figure out what to do, then it's fun. Trying to get the highest score possible on all the moves is a challenge. To get the gymnast moving, you have to drag a straight line with the stylus. Sometimes you can drag straight across. And when you do the uneven bars, the only way to recharge energy is by drawing a large circle after every move.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Game! Comment: My daughter is a competitive gymnast, so this is right up her alley. She loves it! Once you learn how to use the stylus, the game is easy to play. Especially for the price, this was a good buy!
Customer Rating: Summary: OK Game Comment: I purchased this game for my daughter who loves gymnastics. She has gotten very frustrated with this game and won't play it. So I picked it up and tried to do it and I was also disappointed. There is no explanation as to how to play it. Usually with games there is an instruction part. This one doesn't seem to have it, and if it does, we can't find it. The little book doesn't explain it either. When you are doing the routines, you have to build energy to do the flips, etc. It took time, but I figured out how to get some energy, but not a lot. There is no explanation anywhere that I can find that tells us how to build the energy. For the flips and tricks, there also really isn't any instruction on doing them, except some arrows that are pointed in certain directions to show you how to do certain tricks during practice stage. It is not a bad game, we have figured it out enough for my daughter to play with it for a little while. But it should have more tutorial involved than it does, so you can get the maximum playtime out of the game.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun, but hard Comment: This is a great game for any gymnastics lover or injured gymnast. (That's me) However, the instructions aren't very detailed. I'm up to the second to last place to go and I'm fighting for everything, and somehow my scores keep on depleting. Just to let you know, when you open up the game and get started, you may notice that there are diagonal lines to draw for different tricks, but when you try to put them in, nothing happens except for "Oops" appearing at the bottom of the screen. YOU MUST PUT IN A SIDE TO SIDE OR UP AND DOWN TRICK BEFORE YOU CAN ENTER THE DIAGONAL LINES IN! Also, what I found annoying was that though there is a picture of a girl with brownish-blackish hair on the cover, but you can not, I repeat cannot, change your hair color from redish-orangeish.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fun game Comment: This game is pretty fun. If you have a child who loves gymnastics, this is the game to get! You can compete onn the bars, beam, floor, vault, and even freestyle. As you go, you can learn and master new skills such as handsprings and flips. You can even make your own character! The fault in the game is that it is hard to get started. I would definitely not recommend this for children younger than 4th grade. Even I, a 12-year old had trouble with it. But, after a couple days of practice, my 4th grade sister was able to figure it out and now she loves it. Overall, this is a great game for the gymnasts at heart, it just takes practice!
